Approaching

I'm so glad TAKS testing is over and done with for my students. Looking forward for the next few weeks of fun activities like readers theather and novel books. Although the fun teaching starts (no more drill in kill) I am a little scared about my students scores. Hopefully they performed to the capacity I know they can and were ready for. My students worked so hard all year I know they will be succesful in their scores, but there is always that little person in the back of my brain telling me what if they didn't do their best. All I have to do is wait and see and hopefully they will SHINE just the way they shone all year. :)

Intro

Dealing with today's students is very challenging. They have multiple personalities and various ways of learning. As teachers, our responsibility is to create future leaders for tomorrow and teach them everything they need to know in order to create life long learners. One of the aspects in education that is constantly changing is technology. Students need to be ready to face the 21st Century World that is why I have opted to take these courses. I believe these courses will prepare me when teaching my students and help them become 21st Century Learners. It is unbelievable to see how many Web 2.0 tools we can use to teach our students. I personally found Quizlet to be very interesting and educational.
